Żywiec Municipality, according to implementation of the project "SMART ŻYWIEC - (r)evolution" financed from the funds of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014 - 2021 and the state budget, has started to work on the preparation of strategic document according to Municipal climate changes adaptation plan.
Thanks to early stage of adaptation works, there is an opportunity to take appropriate preventive measures, which remove negative impact of climate changes on people's lives, environment and infrastructure.
Green buildings, stable supply of clean water, renewable energy, and sustainable transportation systems connecting urban and rural areas, are the examples of investments that can be included in an adaptation strategy. At the same time, they will be a part of the concept of sustainable development, which is so important at the present time
