On 30-th of July 2023 at 10.00 a.m. a meeting "I’m guiding around Żywiec and its surroundings" will take place in Żywiec Volunteer Centre - Kościuszki Street no 3. The meeting is organized by project partner Paramus Association, who will provide all details about new tourist guidebook. There will be also possibility to discuss about volunteering in tourism.
A rich history of Żywiec Habsburgs, many descriptions of monuments, statues and chapels. Lots of walking trails hooking into City architectural pearls, such as the OLD INN in Jeleśnia or the Ethnographic Park in Ślemień. A delightful description of many events and finally Żywiec City and the whole Żywiec region from the kitchen, i.e. recipes for the most unique dishes such as prażuchy, rabbit made in Żywiec style, or the famous, although by many already forgotten Żywiec horseshoes!
These are just a few of the themes which can be found in the new guidebook "I’m guiding around Żywiec and its surroundings" During the meeting on July 30-th, further details will be revealed. Few members of editorial team who prepared the guidebook have already confirmed their presence on the meeting. Organizers announced, that guidebook will be distributed free of charge to all interested participants on this meeting.
Furthermore, it is also planned to discuss the inspiring topic of volunteering in tourism, which is particularly addressed to young people, who would like to become tourist guide in Żywiec City and share their knowledge and passion.
In addition, during this meeting details of a September workshop for volunteers who would like to develop tourism-related skills will be presented .
