On 26-th of September, in the Żywiec Municipal City Hall summarizing conference took place. Mayor of Żywiec City have opened the conference and gave a warm and motivating welcome speech to all participants. He have highlighted the importance of the project for the development of Żywiec City and its citizens.
As a part of the cooperation with the WSB Academy, Żywiec Municipality employees had an opportunity to take part in a various training courses to improve their professional competences. Training courses included: speed reading course, personal data protection, environmental protection, administrative procedure code, public procurement law, finance and accounting.
Mr. Łukasz Strutyński an advisor to the Association of Polish Cities, during the conference discussed about the 'Role of institutional development of a municipality in improving the quality of public services’. He outlined the main assumptions of the Local Development Program.
Phd Joanna Kurowska-Pysz, AWSB Professor, during her speech summarized the cooperation and importance of partnership in the project.
Improving the professional skills of Żywiec Municipality employees was an important element of institutional development program. Thanks to training provided employees of Żywiec City Hall significantly improved their competencies, which is the main goal of 'Self-governing Żywiec' project. This objective is part of the new development path of the city, which is being implemented as part of 'SMART ŻYWIEC - (r)evolution' project.
The event ended with refreshments and discussions among participants about the activities carried out during the courses.
