On the 1th od January, make plan your New Year's walk over the River Soła. The first day of the New Year will be a symbolic date for the commissioning of the footbridge and another section of the pedestrian and cycle path in Żywiec. You are cordially invited to take part in this unique event at 12:30 pm.
The entire project included not only a series of construction works, but also the installation of benches, stands, a monitoring system and lighting powered by renewable energy.
If you are planning hiking and cycling trips, a unique 2.6 km route is waitng for you, starting already at the footbridge over the Koszarawa River, through the 'headland', all the way to the Soła. The new section is 1.2 km long.
We invite you to take part in this unique and at the same time symbolic event for the city of Żywiec. Two districts that were previously separated from each other, Sporysz and Zabłocie, will be connected by the new footbridge, which gives new opportunities for communication and recreation for the town. A step forward for better tomorrow!
The investment worth PLN 9.4 million was carried out as part of the project SMART ŻYWIEC - (r)evolution co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the state budget.
