STRATEGIES DEVELOPED

SMART ŻYWIEC-(r)evolution project main goal is participatory development of documents together with citizens to implement a new path of development for the City. As part of its implementation, several strategies have been created for the years 2023-2030, which will help to implement a number of plans and intentions.
Żywiec City Development Strategy 2023-2030 includes changes aimed at facilitating the daily life of Żywiec citizens, climate improving, accessibility increasing and safety care. We are concerned about youth development, attracting new citizens and ensuring a better future for those who live in Żywiec.
Another strategy was the Cycling Policy, which included the development of cycle paths, new safety rules and landscaping. The goal was, of course, also to make geting around the city by bicycle easier. The whole project relied on public consultation, which helped to work out key issues such as:
•    cycling transport in the city,
•    cycling infrastructure,
•    safety
A Tourism Brand Strategy and a Municipal Climate Change Adaptation Plan have also been created, for better using of  Żywiec's potential now and in the future. The city's unusual location makes it an extremely attractive area in terms of nature, tourism and recreation. Żywiec City will become a place where you can breathe fresh and clean air, free of smog and pollution, thanks to effective cooperation with neighboring municipalities. The City will also stand out for its tidiness and care for    aesthetics of public spaces.
