The webinars with experts within SMART ŻYWIEC-(r)evolution project that took place last week are behind us. Experts answered many questions from citizens and discussed key issues. The webinars were directed to Żywiec City citizens and local government employees.
The webinars, which took place a few days ago, were led by academics, specialists in the functioning of local government and educators. We were very pleased, that many citizens were interested and actively involved in the project.
The first webinar included the subject of EEA funds. It was hosted by Ms Joanna Kurowska-Pysz, Ph.D., Head of the Management Department of the WSB Academy, who gave a behind-the-scenes look at the SMART ŻYWIEC - (r)evolution project. Participants learned about the preparations, process of applying for funds, and the challenges which Żywiec City had to face in order to become one of the beneficiaries.
The second , online meeting, was directed to needs and expectations of youth in Żywiec. Mr Paweł Żygliński,, teacher of military classes and Survival School for Youth founder, tried to illustrate everything from the point of view of the youth, he works with in everyday life.
The third webinar was hosted by Polish Cities Association Advisors, Ms Wiesława Kwiatkowska and Mr Łukasz Strutyński. They focused on the aspects of avoiding mistakes during the implementing of such large projects. They also presented examples from other cities, that have benefited funds under the EEA Mechanism.
And finally, the last webinar was focused on a new future vision for the Żywiec City. It was led by Bogna Kietlinska Phd, a sociologist and art historian, who together with Mr Tymon Radwański from the City is Ours Association tried to explain what the ideal city should look like.
During each webinar, discussion groups for participants were created, so all could ask questions and complement their knowledge on the subjects which were discussed during all webinars.
